Vip’s
What’s better than a day out of the office in the fresh air? We cater to special guests, hospitality professionals, journalists and more!
Our tours operate at a relaxing pace and are for the “occasional” exerciser – we welcome anyone who is in sufficient health to comfortably ride a bicycle or Segway. Competent children 4’6” or taller may ride their own bike; toddlers and small children may accompany a parent or guardian on a trailer tandem or in a trailer carriage (child trailers that attach to an adult bike). We do our best to safely accommodate special needs – please contact us to discuss.
In the past, middle school students, corporate executives, campers, and octogenarians alike have enjoyed our tours as a part of team building events, school trips, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, company outings, weddings, reunions, family vacations, and more.
We provide a comfort bike, helmet, a bottle of water, and a light snack (for some tours) for each participant. Chose from one of our existing tours or we can help design a custom tour for you.

Group Tours Frequently Asked Questions
Who can participate?
Our tours are lead at a relaxing pace and are for the “occasional” exerciser – we welcome anyone who is in sufficient health to comfortably ride a bicycle or Segway. What is included?
We provide everything the participants will need for an enjoyable, safe ride – including a comfort bike, helmet, water bottles, and a light snack (for some tours). All tours are outdoors so participants should wear seasonally appropriate clothing (not too loose) and closed-toe shoes.
How safe are your tours?
Keeping your group safe is our highest priority. Helmets are required for all participants, and each tour begins with a tutorial on bike or Segway usage and safety. Our bikes and Segways are maintained by in-house mechanics on a regular basis and our staff checks each rider for correct bike fit and comfort before taking off. Finally, to keep groups manageable, the participant to guide ratio is 15 to one or less for bike tours and 8 or less for Segway tours.
Do you split up large groups?
Our group tours can accommodate up to 400 participants. For safety reasons, larger groups are divided among multiple tour guides, so that each group is no larger than about 15 per guide. If you are not sure of the size of your group, you can reserve the tour with an estimate, and adjust the number later.
What is your cancellation policy?
Deposit: We will guarantee your reservation once we receive the deposit. We may cancel the reservation at any time if a deposit is not received. In the event that the deposit is not received, you understand that your group may need to be rescheduled.
Final Payment: If final payment is not received by the due date, you understand that you may forfeit your deposit and that your reservation may be cancelled.
Changes: Please update us with any changes in the total number of participants. This number must be finalized before we receive your final payment. If necessary, reservations may be rescheduled depending on availability with at least 24 hours notice.
Cancellations: If you cancel your reservation more than 30 days in advance, you will be issued a refund all payments less a 10% service fee. After that, the deposit is non-refundable, though may be used as a credit for a future event. Reservations may be rescheduled if weather makes for dangerous riding conditions. If we are unable to reschedule a tour cancelled due to weather, we will issue a full credit for the amount of the deposit and refund the final payment. Bike and Roll DC is a rain or shine business and will operate in bad weather so long as there is no danger to our staff or guests.
Payments: We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover Card, American Express and checks from business accounts. Credit card payments should be made on-line through the secure reservation management portal or over the phone. The link to your management portal is found at the bottom of this contract.
NOTE: If your group is renting without a tour, we require a credit card as a deposit on the equipment to cover any potential damage and loss. The card should be provided at the time of the rental and a $500 authorization will be run on the card. Due to the nature of an authorization, we are unable to take debit cards or prepaid cards for the deposit.
